Buffalo Bills Specialists Race in Pittsford Triathlon to Raise Money for Brian Moorman's P.U.N.T. Foundation

Buffalo, NY - Buffalo Bills punter Brian Moorman, kicker Rian Lindell, long snapper Ryan Neill and special teams coach Bobby April all participated in the Pittsford Triathlon on Sunday June 1st which raised money to support Brian’s P.U.N.T. Foundation. "The P.U.N.T. Foundation was honored to participate in this years triathlon and look forward to a continued partnership with the Town of Pittsford. We all had fun participating in our first ever triathlon, and were even more excited with the amount of awareness we created for our cause." said Moorman.

Children whose lives are affected by cancer got a boost from Buffalo Bills special teams players and Pittsford Town Supervisor Bill Carpenter who earlier this year recognized an opportunity to team up and raise funds for the P.U.N.T. Foundation.

The P.U.N.T. Foundation, founded in 2004 by Moorman and wife Amber, provides assistance, and family-centered programs and events designed to enrich the lives of children in Western New York who face life threatening ill-nesses. The Pittsford Triathlon, organized by the Town of Pittsford and held annually in June, provided an ideal occasion for a joint venture with the P.U.N.T. Foundation.

A record number 314 athletes competed in the 5th annual triathlon event in Pittsford. A portion of each registration fee and all of the proceeds from a walk-a-thon held in conjunction with the triathlon were designated as contributions to the P.U.N.T. Foundation.

Supervisor Carpenter is pleased to announce that over $3,000.00 was successfully raised by the town’s first-ever partnership with the P.U.N.T. Foundation.
